Alteration Services You Can Offer

Are you always tinkering around with things? Do you know how to fix or modify something without breaking it? Then here's your niche in a flea market setting -- alteration services! Set up a booth and offer potential customers the opportunity to bring something to you and get it improved for your fee. Not sure what this all means? Here are a few examples of alteration services you can offer.

alteration service offered

For those who are handy with a needle and thread, and who may have an eye for fashion in general, clothing alterations can be a great way to pick up some extra money. Set up a booth with some examples of clothes you've altered; if you can, get before and after photographs so potential customers can see the differences you made. Take your sewing supplies with you, including any sorts of accessories you might use, like buttons or patches.

Were you one of those children who took electronic gifts apart just to see how they worked? If you're still that way today, electronics upgrades and repairs may be just the side business for you. Advertise your booth with some description of the kinds of upgrades and repairs you're skilled in, using images if possible to draw more attention to your services. Be sure your tools are all with you every time you go to the flea market

Your passion may be the written word, including the proper use thereof. Editing services are often found online, but it's difficult to have a personal touch in the editing process when there are two computer screens between the editor and the client. Offer to edit a variety of types of writing, and entice people in by emphasizing that they are paying for a one-on-one session rather than an impersonal red pen.

You don't have to be a child to love playing with toys! Customized toys are actually a popular collectible, and if you have the magic touch to make amazing toys to a customer's standard, you can offer this service from your flea market booth. Depending on how much business you get in a day, you may want to offer same-day service for an extra fee.

Not sure that the flea market is the venue for you? What about a garage sale? You can sell your items or your services at a garage sale, and list it for free for others to locate at our homepage.

My grandmother had her own tailoring shop and we would always go there when we were young. Together with my cousins, we would get beads, threads and pretend to be tailors and make our own shirt designs. We would sketch like our grandmother about gowns in weddings, proms and debuts. I've always tweaked my wardrobe like my plain t-shirt, I would utilize paints, beads, even scrap materials and put it together to make my shirt look better.

Now, I own a wedding shop. I guess it runs in the family and I'm hoping to be successful in this field of service.

I'm a computer programmer and work as a technician in one of the computer shops in the city's mall. At first, I got to provide computer services to my friends. I did simple reformatting, giving advices on what computer/laptop to buy and even upgrading their personal computers. Today, I started a small business and we handle a variety of computer services. We personally go to their houses and fix their computers there. Instead of making them bring their CPU to us, we bring our service to their homes. As of the moment, its all going well.

I just remembered my old man. He was such an ingenious person even though he was not the brightest and talented person you could find. He made tool boxes out of PVC pipes, made his own cabinets to store his equipment, and almost all of our furniture in our home was made by my father. He was that innovative, he even made a computer table/ case and sold it for a couple of hundred dollars. We made quite some money from that and I wish I could be half the man that he was and I would be really happy then. Wish to follow his footsteps and make my own business out of making ingenious stuffs.

These kind of services are what's "IN" today. I always go to this internet cafe with editing services. They would provide typing services on the spot and their personnel were very competent and you would not notice that your file would be finished in an instant. They pride themselves with being able to provide the best service without making the costumers wait. They don't even charge that much to their costumers and that made them a hit. From simple typing documents to editing articles, you name it, they can do it. I realized that would be a good business to model from if someday I plan to make one.

Saw this show on cable about making fashion from nothing. The contestants were from all over the country with different genres. They would pick anything from a room and would be given time, about a day or so, to come up with their creations. Even the most experienced ones failed and those new ones surprisingly made it through. I got that you just need to believe in your own creation even if you think that it's the worst because other people may just think otherwise and like it more. I also remembered what one of the judges said to them about this innovating business "If you don't believe in yourself then who else will."

You can change your pants into shorts by cutting it short and add some accessories to make it look brand new. You don't need to sell it to someone, you could help other people save money by innovating their clothes with your own creative style. If your lucky, you could start a small dress shop specializing in alteration services.

I want to have room full of wall paintings about my favorite cartoon characters, sceneries and themes. I would love to hire a graphic artist to work on my room with a little help to include my preferences and personal touch. I got all these ideas from Extreme Makeover - Home Edition. Some lucky family get to have a new house they could have never imagined with the help of professionals and volunteers from their community.

We had a sewing machine which was older than me,literally. My mom told me that she loved to sew different kinds of bed sheets and pillow cases back then. I got interested in learning how to sew since I want to customize and innovate my pants which are out of style already. So now, I can recycle my old pants and even save money since I do not have to buy a lot of new clothes because I can still use the old one. Even my friends are asking me favor to sew their old pants for them. Hahahaha
