Date Night in a Substitute Hotel

Living a frugal lifestyle but still want to treat your special someone to a wonderful evening? No problem! There are lots of cheap date options out there; it's a matter of making them happen! You may feel pressure to take your date somewhere that costs way more than you can afford, but just remember -- if they don't have the spunk to try out something different and be willing to live life frugally, well, you may not be able to get along anyway.

A nice home for a make believe date night hotel.

Cheap Dates are great for first dates, tenth dates, or I-can't-remember the dates! Whether you've been married for years or are just starting to get to know your significant other, these inexpensive outing options can be great fun.

This time in Cheap Dates, we'll take a look at a night in a substitute hotel, otherwise known as housesitting! You'll get to enjoy the fun of being somewhere new that doesn't belong to either of you without having to pay any exorbitant hotel fees.

Find a friend or relative who needs you to house sit. This is a rather important starting place, because if you can't find an empty house or apartment, you won't have anywhere to go on your faux hotel date! You may want to see if you can find a spot that's a good distance from where you live -- not so far that it's more than a day trip, but far enough that you'll be away from everything familiar and can enjoy the new sights and scenery.

Make sure you can have a guest with you. If they do say it's okay for you to bring your date with you, you'll need to keep in mind that the rules will be the same: you have to clean up after yourselves, and you can't destroy anything!

Bring along a movie, as if you were getting to watch pay-per-view, and do anything else you can to make it feel like a nice hotel experience. (Or a cheap motel experience, depending on the quality of the house!) If they have a pool or hot tub, or if the apartment complex does, go swimming!

Be sure to tidy up, and don't make any messes you can't fix. In other words, don't get too rowdy and break something!

Tried this before, we went to my friends house outside the city. I brought a couple of romantic and cheesy movies from the 90's and today's best movies. It wasn't the most elegant place but it was the place i wanted to be together with my special someone. It turned out to be a great weekend, we had fun with some of our friends and will never forget those times. Love to go back and relive those days, Karen.

Or you could just go to motels which have cheap prices with decent amenities. For one day, you could roam around a new city and go to tourist destinations and feel the rush. It feels good to go out once in a while and what enjoy mother nature has to offer.

The fact that you're with your love one is enough for me. That's the best thing I could wish for and I cherish those moments. Even if we are not not hat rich and have the best life you'd dream of, I learned to enjoy the little things and spend quality time with my family. You don't need everything in this world, you just need to appreciate what you have and do what you love.

Last valentines day, I prepared this surprise which will take place in a garden in one beach. With all the matching lights, the cool wind, it was a perfect day. It wasn't much but I made her happy and we enjoyed every bit of the date. We spent the night together swimming in a pool and made love Smilehope to hear some ideas I could use in the future...

There  was this engineering dude who asked someone to be his girlfriend in a very unique way. He played their song in campus. After the girl's class, while she was walking down the hallway, she could see from the opposite building that there were people holding big cards that were saying something. Slowly, as she was reading and trying to figure what the whole message was, "Hi Jenny, I really like you and I need to ask you something." the guy approached her with a bouquet of flowers with a shirt that says "Will you be my girlfriend?" He then gave the girl a marker to put a check mark on the box of her answer which was a very big --YES!!!

Everybody jumped in joy and the building felt like it was gonna explode with all the cheers of all the students. It was the most sweet thing I've ever seen and this is coming from a guy. That definitely set the standards higher in courting or surprising a girl from school because all the girls wanted to have that kind of experience as well... which is far from reality T_T now my chances of having a girl got tremendously lower haha just kidding...

I don't think my mom will allow me to spend a night somewhere with my boyfriend. She's very conservative......
